Jim Shepherd

Managing Director

Jim and his wife Helen established EcoSafety in 2006.

Jim has over 20 years of experience operating at Senior Management level, determining and dictating strategic corporate Policy and advising on systems development. He is a dynamic and experienced Safety professional who has pioneered a cultural approach to both safety management and the delivery of Business Excellence across a wide variety of industrial sectors.

Helen Shepherd

Director and Office Manager

Prior to establishing EcoSafety in 2006 with husband Jim, Helen worked for over 20 years in Personnel Management and Training within the Electronics industry sector then latterly as an HR Consultant.

Helen is now responsible for the strategic management and operational running of EcoSafety. She organises all the company day to day and long term activities, interfacing directly with clients and handling their training requirements.

As financial controller Helen also manages the contracts, accounting and financial matters of the company as well as the document control systems, external quality reviews and updates.

Iain Boath

Director of Health & Safety Operations

Iain has a solid, practical background in Environmental, Health and Safety derived from over 10 years spent in senior management positions. Prior to joining EcoSafety in 2007 Iain lectured in engineering and management studies gaining valuable, additional skills that he utilizes daily within the business.

He is a systems specialist having taken clients to full ISO/OSHAS accreditation standards.

Along with his wealth of knowledge in dealing with External Accreditation Bodies and Regulators he is our industrial noise specialist (conducting noise monitoring, surveys and providing personal noise exposure levels).

Iain become our Director of Health & Safety Operations in 2010.

Gavin Kellett CMIOSH

Health Safety and Training Manager

Gavin is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner with experience across a diverse range of business sectors. He promotes and takes a practical approach to safety and regularly coaches clients towards contractor scheme registration (such as Achilles, Construction-line etc) and safety management standards.

Gavin is our ITSSAR Approved (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) Fork Lift, Excavator, Pallet truck Instructor/Examiner and specialises in the delivery of Working at Heights and Abrasive Wheels training.

As a qualified walking/climbing instructor and International Mountain Leader, Gavin spends most of his spare time outdoors. He is also a longstanding, valued member of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

Andy Love

Consultant

Prior to joining EcoSafety as a Consultant, Andy was working in Risk Management and Finance. Andy is currently developing his safety knowledge across a diverse range of business sectors.

He promotes a practical approach to safety and risk and is our subject specialist in Manual Handling.
